Encouraged

We are loving our time with the RUF students this Fall. I feel more a part of the ministry than I ever have, being able to attend Large Group and hang out with some of the students afterwards. We've had each class for dinner in our home this semester and I really enjoy hosting, cooking, etc. I'm so thankful that both of our children are such extroverts and love the students as well. It makes having people over even more fun. In years past, RUF has not always looked the same for our family just because when our kids were so little and my health was not so good, it was hard to do what I longed to do...have them in our home often. Having our intern Katy help has also been invaluable and we are encouraged by this ministry. Thank you to friends and family who are praying for the RUF ministry at Texas A&M. Please continue to keep us in your prayers.

A visit from Nana and Papa

We enjoyed a visit this past weekend from Nana and Papa. We loved having them and got to do lots of fun things, one of which was go to the pumpkin patch as you see below. ( I know, I know , if you're a blog surfer, you've seen lots and lots of pictures lately of kids and pumpkins. So, you know...here's more!

The Adventures of MOOSE and the Children's Barnyard

We had an awesome opportunity this past week to go to the Children's Barnyard with some friends. Hannah is keeper of her class mascot-MOOSE- until Tuesday so he/she has been everywhere with us. It's really cute how Moose has really become a member of the family.

I think Nathan was the only kid that could actually catch the chicks. At one point, he put it up to his cheek and smiled, saying something like "aww!".

Fall sewing project

These outfits just happened. I found the fabric for Nathan's this past summer and bought it knowing I wanted to make something, just didn't know what. And then I found the fabric for Hannah's at a separate time. The letter/ruffle fabric I think I bought last spring, just enough to make an applique for something else and then, one day in my sewing room, it just all came together, the idea that is. So this past weekend, while Ben was gone to Houston with RUF, I got to work!

Granddaddy and GaGa

We had a wonderful time last weekend with Granddaddy and GaGa when they came for a visit to Texas. Ben and my Dad went to the game while Momma and I took the kids to the museum and park. On Monday, we took Hannah to her ballet class and then GaGa and Granddaddy treated the kids to dinner/ice cream with sprinkles while Ben and I had dinner with a friend who came in town for the day.

After church on Sunday. Marian graciously had us all for lunch. Thanks Marian!
