The Lobsters at Walmart

Yesterday at Walmart, I pointed out the Lobster tank to Hannah and Nathan. The kids got to put their hands on the glass and I explained that the lobsters were ALIVE and that they had pinchers, etc. I explained to Hannah that some people like to buy them and eat them.

Last night, she was recalling the experience to Ben and even acting out being a little lobstress if you will. I got a good laugh out of her interpretation.

She said with all seriousness...
"If you buy them really, really, really dead, they won't pinch you. "

As opposed to just...dead..."really, really, really dead"...

It was a long week without Daddy (He went to RUF Staff Training) but we managed to stay busy. We are thankful for health, safety, etc. It can be stressful to be a single parent but the Lord really gave me grace this week. We had a lot of fun too!Tues. night after dinner, we made giant self portraits.

Nathan especially missed his Daddy. He was hilarious "talking" to Daddy on the phone. I tend to think he would be the one unaffected but it was tough putting him to bed every night without Daddy's reassurance and commanding presence. Last night when Ben got home, Nathan went to sleep without any trouble.
Elizabeth and her brother Micah came to play Wed. while my friend Kierstyn took baby Benjamin to Austin
Nathan and Micah had a blast in the half inflated pool.

Children's Museum with the Kracja's

You can't tell from the pic but Hannah is adding paint to the Volkswagon Bug parked inside the museum. The surrounding floor and walls are covered in paint too but Kierstyn told me they put laundry detergent in the paint so it washes out of their clothes. Genius! And it worked too cause the clothes went straight to the washer when we got home.
Micah- I think he really looks like Curtis in this one.

Oh, don't you just want to grab him and KISS him all over?!?!
And then grab and kiss HIM too!

AT LONG LAST!!!!....

I have been reunited with a computer!! It's been a long week of building patience (or simply revealing the lack thereof). Two of our computers have had problems, one just refuses to turn on and the other is receiving a new motherboard this week. So while Ben has been gone to staff training all week, i've been fortunate enough to at least read my emails on my cool new ipod but blogging was not possible. SO...all that to say...i've got tons of fun pics to come... just gotta get the kids to bed. Oh yeah, and celebrate my birthday with my wonderful husband who got HOME 30minutes ago! We're grilling steaks. I just turned 21, can't you tell?!

So I'm not the only one who thinks this is funny...

Some of you may know a snippit of my health history and that i've dedicated alot of time this past year to getting myself straightened out, literally. My neurologist recommended a myofascial physical therapist and in MS, i was going faithfully, weeks on end to get a problem with my neck/shoulder worked out. Here in TX, I'm trying to put off another visit to the doctor as long as i can by following the advice of my PT-go to yoga.

Now, Ben and I joined Gold's Gym as quickly as we could when we moved here. I've been going to their BodyFlow class 2-3 times a week, enjoying the mix of yoga, tai chi and pilates. The mood of the class is very serious which in my opinion defeats the purpose a little. The language used by the instructors is a bit humorous to say the least. "Press your heals into the earth" and " find length". Oh, and this one gets me every time, "gather your navel".

The other night in class I found myself snickering as the instructor told us to "bring your right knee up and wrap it around your left thigh...now...sink... wrap your left arm under your right elbow and press your palms together, lifting your arms up together and look to the heavens..." There we were, all squatting in the "can i be excused to the potty?" position and it was all i could do not to laugh out loud. The next night, the instructor actually told us to put our heels behind our necks, if possible. I confess. I looked around the room. I just had to know if anybody was really trying that move.

The other night Ben and i were enjoying some Brian Regan and "apparently", Brian has tried yoga too... ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSztExIa0uk

Thank you, Ben, for finishing the tile patio!!!

"Bella, Bella, Bella Dancerella!!"

We are now the proud owners of the Bella Dancerella kit for little girls wanting to learn to dance like a princess! Hannah received $20 in the mail from her great-grandmother and the kit was her choice. She gladly put the princess shoes back on the shelf in exchange for the video that she got to dance to at a friend's house. Included in the kit are an instructional dance video(i get cracked up everytime i think about it, but the idea is really a good one, just humerous to me), a mat for correct foot placement(are you laughing yet?!?) and a massive wand that lights up and makes music, a different musical intro for each of the three princesses featured on the wand. Of course, I don't know how long the wand will perform if Nathan keeps banging it on the driveway and my walls, but nevertheless, it's a princess wand for now. And Hannah thoroughly enjoys dancing with the teacher on the TV, yet another example of how little boys are so vastly different from little girls. :)

Fiona, Hannah,Alexis, Elizabeth and Nathan

The Lord has already begun answering our prayers and the prayers of others for us to make new friends quickly and easily. We have so many (but we don't have pictures of all of them yet)! The Lord is so good to us.
